Today, Montana Attorney General Tim Fox and Wyoming Attorney General Peter Michael announced they’ve entered into a friendly wager over the upcoming University of Montana – University of Wyoming football game. Both will attend Saturday’s game in Laramie.
If the Grizzlies win, Attorney General Fox will give Attorney General Michael a UM cap that he’ll wear not only for a photograph, but during his entire workday on Tuesday, September 2nd. If the Cowboys win, Attorney General Michael will give Attorney General Fox a UW cap for him to wear at work on September 2nd and be similarly photographed.
“We may have a dispute over water rights, but there’s no disputing that the Grizzlies will win on Saturday,” Attorney General Fox said. “The Grizzlies have been waiting 17 years for another match up with the Cowboys, and they’re ready.”
“It’ll be a nice change of pace for General Fox to be seen in brown and yellow, instead of maroon and grey,” Attorney General Michael said. “As a proud University of Wyoming grad, I look forward to seeing my Montana counterpart wear more tasteful colors.”
Attorney General Michael received his bachelor’s degree in American history from Yale University in 1978, then graduated from the University of Wyoming College of Law in 1985. Attorney General Fox graduated from the University of Montana in 1981 with a degree in geology and in 1987 with a law degree.
The game is scheduled to kick off at 2 p.m. at Jonah Field at War Memorial Stadium. The season opener will be the first game under new Cowboy head coach Craig Bohl.
