Strangulation is one of the most potentially lethal forms of intimate partner abuse. This course is designed to increase awareness of these potentially lethal cases. Training will include practical tools to identify and document evidence of strangulation including physical and psychological evidence necessary, for the successful prosecution of the offender. Special emphasis will be placed on Senate Bill No. 153, effectively interviewing the victim and the crucial role Law Enforcement Officers play in decreasing negative victim impact.
