This seminar is taught by the Gallagher-Westfall Group and was formerly called Mid-Level Manager.  To attend this training you must have attended Leadership, Management, and Mastering Performance Management Phase I.  At the conclusion of this seminar, participants will have an understanding of the Seven Layers of Leadership; the role of the leader as it relates to policy and procedure, the importance of training to the successful performance of the police officer, situational leadership, the four styles of leadership, mastering performance management and the evaluation process, writing effective evaluations and a brief history and explanation of civil courts.  Start time for the course is 0800 January 28th and ends February 1, 2019 at 12 noon.  There are 36 P.O.S.T credit hours available for this training.  Register by sending application to Scott Sterland at: [email protected].

The Montana Law Enforcement Academy is undergoing a large remodeling project in 2019. As such, no rooms are available for professional programs students for this course. Arrangements for housing must be made separate and apart from the academy. The full meal plan will continue to be available for all students.
