Event Details
Montana State University is excited to announce its partnership with the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals [atapworldwide.org] Northwest and Chicago chapters to bring the Western Regional Joint Threat Assessment Training (formerly the Montana Threat Assessment Conference). This event will bring together the best speakers and teachers that the threat assessment discipline has to offer and promises amazing networking opportunities.
We would like to personally invite you to the Western Regional Joint Threat Assessment Training at Montana State University in Bozeman, Montana, from June 29 – July 1, 2020. We know that numerous training opportunities come across your desk on a daily occurrence so we wanted to take a moment and explain who we are and how this training is different.
The Association of Threat Assessment Professionals (ATAP) is a multidisciplinary non-profit organization comprised of law enforcement, prosecutors, school leadership, mental health professionals, corporate security professionals, probation and parole personnel, human resources professionals, and others involved in the area of threat and violence risk assessment. ATAP’s membership is comprised of experts in these areas and we take pride in affording our members a professional and educational environment to exchange ideas and strategies to address such issues as stalking, threats, violence prevention, and homeland security. This conference will provide members and non-members with this expertise at a truly affordable cost.
Many of you also have your own stories of violence prevention or have experience and knowledge to share about building threat assessment teams and programs. We urge you to submit a proposal to speak and share these experiences. [montana.edu] [montana.edu]
