Consumer Complaint Against Towing Company
If you have a complaint against a towing company, you can call the Office of Consumer Protection (OCP) at (406) 444-4500 or you can file a complaint: download a form to mail or fax to OCP OR file on-line. The complaint should include the name and address of the tow truck company, with a detailed explanation of what the problem is, and what you have done. Tow Truck Complaint Resolution Committee
The Tow Truck Complaint Resolution Committee is appointed by the Montana Attorney General, and all conflicts presented to the Committee are provided to them by the Montana Attorney General, Office of Consumer Protection. If you have a complaint against a towing company, please see above for the process to follow.
The current members of the Tow Truck Complaint Resolution Committee are listed below. Committee members serve three-year terms, may serve more than one term, and must include
- one representative of tow truck industry from the eastern half of the state
- one representative of tow truck industry from the western half of the state
- one representative of the commercial motor carrier industry
- one representative of the highway patrol
- one representative of the insurance industry
- one member of the general public
