WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Officers intending to become POST certified firearms instructors for law enforcement personnel.
NOTE: Instructor development is also required for POST instructor certification.

This course is designed to develop the knowledge and skills necessary to conduct firearms training for law enforcement agencies and personnel. Handgun, shotgun and patrol rifle proficiency are a prerequisite.
Topics covered include:
 firearms safety
 role of the instructor
 civil and criminal liability exposure
 instructional techniques for firearms instructors
 range preparation and operation of the firing line
 handgun, shotgun and rifle
 disabled officer techniques
 low light shooting techniques.
Equipment Required:
 Pistol w/ 3 magazines and 1000 rounds practice
ammunition
 LE Style Shotgun w/ 50 rounds bird shot, 25 rounds slug,
and 25 rounds buckshot
 AR 15 style rifle w/ 3 magazines and 500 rounds of
ammunition
 Safety glasses, ear protection, ballistic vest
