Law Enforcement Officer Basic Course – LEOB

The Law Enforcement Officer Basic (LEOB) Course is an intensive 12-week course which is offered three times a year. This course includes both online and in-person training.

The course is accredited by the Public Safety Officer Standards and Training (POST) Council and conducted on campus by Staff and Adjunct Instructors.

Individuals must be hired by a Montana law enforcement agency before they can attend the Law Enforcement Officer Basic Course.

2024/2025 LE Basic Pre-Registration Schedule

These are the tentative dates, with the actual Basic Law Enforcement Course schedule to be completed about 30 days prior to the start of the basic law enforcement class.
