PVOC is based on FLETC and NHTSA concepts and is designed to provide participants with theoretical and practical training relevant to the operation of police vehicles in non-emergency, emergency and pursuit conditions.

Topics covered include NEVO (non-emergency vehicle operations), evasive braking, backing and driving, skid avoidance through the use of a skid car, apex driving, pursuit driving, vehicle dynamics, seat belts, driving environment, conducting effective drivers training within your organization, pursuit policy and liability issues as well as conducting training at your agency and using PVOC as a positive public relations event within your community.

There are 64 P.O.S.T. credit hours available for this training over two phases. The initial phase is 24 hours with the second phase of 40 hours to be completed within one year To Register send application to : [email protected]
