The U.S. border Patrol Academy developed and implemented the Survival Spanish for Law Enforcement Training Program in 2007 to accommodate requests from local agencies that were encountering Spanish speakers on a regular basis.  Since then, Border Patrol agents have instructed several law enforcement agencies throughout the country.

40-hour Survival Spanish for Law Enforcement course is designed to give law enforcement officers the necessary skills to better their chances of surviving a life threatening situation involving Spanish speaking individuals.

    • Spanish alphabet, vowels, consonants, Cardinal numbers, telling time, months,
  • Descriptive Report Information
  • Basic grammar
  • Danger Situations
  • Commands/Warnings

24 Maximum students  –  LUNCH IS NOT INCLUDED

The Montana Law Enforcement Academy is undergoing a large remodeling project in 2019. As such, no rooms are available for professional programs students for this course. Arrangements for housing must be made separate and apart from the academy. The full meal plan will continue to be available for all students.
