The Montana Law Enforcement Academy is offering a TASER User Certification Course during the Law Enforcement Officer Basic Course as an elective. In providing this training, we hope to reduce the logistics and expense associated with agencies conducting this training for their new employees. We will also be offering this course to all law enforcement agencies in the State of Montana who may want to certify other officers not attending the Basic Course.
The instructor is Tom Munsey, a Senior Master Instructor with TASER International.
Each student must bring:
- 4 Live Ready to Deploy Taser Cartridges
- Department Issued Taser
- Taser Holster
- Safety Glasses
10 Hours POST certified
The class will be held for four straight nights from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM each night.
