Great Falls, MT.- On December 23rd, 2018 between 2:30-3PM, a silver 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo passenger car with 38 county plates left Great Falls and was traveling northbound on the Frontage Road towards Vaughn. It was reported that this vehicle was driving in and out of the ditch, taking up the entire roadway, and eight to nine vehicles had to run off the roadway to avoid being involved in a head-on crash. The vehicle continued northbound on the Frontage Road, went through Vaughn, and continued all the way to Dutton before entering Interstate 15. The Montana Highway Patrol did locate the vehicle in northern Teton County and the driver was arrested for DUI.

The Montana Highway Patrol is looking for any witnesses to this driving behavior or the drivers who were forced off of the roadway that are willing to fill out a statement. Please call Trooper Jensen if you have any information regarding this incident at 406-660-1118.

A big thank you to the reporting party that did follow the vehicle from Great Falls until the vehicle was located and stopped. Without the excellent information provided by that caller, this situation could have come to a tragic end.
