The Executive Assistant:
- Records and tracks employment actions regarding all public safety officers in the state by entering Notices of Appointment, Termination, and Rank Change
- Reviews all Applications for POST Course Credit, and enters the Single– and Multi-day Training Rosters into each officer’s record
- Reviews agencies’ Requests for Extension of Time to Meet a POST Training Standard
- Prepares all of the Meeting Agendas and Meeting Material for the POST Council Meetings and many of the Council’s Committee Meetings
- Records the Meeting Minutes for the ARM, Business Plan/Policy, Coroner, and Curriculum Review Committees
- Prepares and tracks POST’s invoicing and budget information

The Administrative Assistant:
- Reviews and records training hours for Applications for Individuals Seeking POST Credit for Online, Out-of-State, and Other Courses
- Reviews, processes, and enters all Certificate Applications
- Records the Minutes for all Case Status Committee Meetings
- Provides file clerk services for contested cases and investigations
- Collects, disseminates, records, and responds to public records requests for officers’ POST Transcripts
- POST’s Designated Staff for receiving Public Information Requests pursuant to POST’s Policy and Process for Submission, Response, and Reporting of Public Information Requests

- Assists the Paralegal/Investigator in proofreading, copying, and disseminating correspondence and other documents concerning allegations of misconduct and contested cases

The Paralegal/Investigator:
- Conducts investigations regarding allegations of misconduct by public safety officers
- Assists General Counsel with drafting Administrative Rule language
- Assists Contested Case Counsel with contested case hearings
- Provides general assistance to POST’s General Counsel
- Processes complex requests for information, and requests for information regarding investigations, cases, or other litigation
- Tracks Requests for Equivalency from public safety agencies
- Assists the Director and Legal Counsel with drafting of policies, correspondence, and legal documents
